Caroline Alexander

Dr Alexander graduated as a Physiotherapist in 1987. She received an MSc in Advanced Neuro-Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy from University College London in 1994 when she became a member of the Manipulation Association of Chartered Physiotherapists. In December 2001 she was awarded a PhD from University College London after studying the reflex control of shoulder girdle muscles. She now works as a clinician and researcher for Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust where she has a laboratory situated within the Department of Physiotherapy. Dr Alexander presents internationally and publishes work that explores the reflex and descending control of girdle and trunk muscles in both healthy individuals and people with various musculoskeletal and neurological problems.
